  • Experience the beauty and elegance of strings. A classically trained violinist and violist, Courtney Meg has found herself delving into the worlds of both classical and electric string performing. Favourite genres of playing include anything and everything from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th Century classical music, to Musical Theatre, Opera, Rock, Pop, Folk, and Metal. Such versatility is suitable for any event: weddings, functions, parties, festivals, concerts, markets, recording sessions, and much more!

  • Look no further for a passionate educator for children and adults alike. With a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance and a Master of Teaching majoring in Music and Ancient History, Courtney loves that her teaching informs and inspires her performance, just as her performance informs and inspires her teaching. There is nothing better than investing in and nurturing the passions and personal growth of others.

  • Commission arrangements of original songs for string orchestra, chamber string ensembles, and piano and strings. Transform songs you love into something completely new and exciting, or request an arrangement or transcription of a song that sounds just like the original for varying instrumentation.

Welcome…

Courtney first knew she wanted to perform on the stage when she was 4 years old watching concert videos of Bond Quartet, Dixie Chicks (now called The Chicks), and The Corrs. Growing up learning violin and viola through a Classical lens, Courtney was constantly expanding her horizons by listening to and playing music from a vast array of musical genres, particularly enjoying folk styles, metal, rock, jazz, 20th century music, and worship music. Growing up, she always had a dream of sharing her string playing with the broader audience, beyond just the classical music enthusiasts.

Now, Courtney Meg has found her niche in the performing, teaching, arranging, and composing sphere - the ultimate combination for reaching others with the power of music.
